Let me introduce myself. I am Beth Schuldiner, sister of Chuck Schuldiner.
In keeping with Chuck's planned promotion for his latest CD at the time, Father of Metal, Co. is announcing a special Fan Membership in the Father of Metal Club which will include a commemorative T-shirt and the opportunity to participate in a Memorabilia Giveaway by submitting an Essay to receive one of the items listed below.
The Memorabilia Giveaway is in keeping with a promotion that Chuck had been putting together to promote his next CD, “When Man and Machine Collide”, prior to his illness and tragic death. The essay based Memorabilia Giveaway begins on August 5, 2009.Chuck's Family Announces
Fan Membership Club & Memorabilia Giveaway!!!
• Grand Prize for the giveaway is Chuck’s Personal Guitar, a BC Rich custom handmade Mockingbird.
• Second Place is the “Death Stage Backdrop” used by Chuck/Death while touring internationally.
• Third Place is a Replica of Chuck's “Stealth Guitar”, made by BC Rich/Hanser music group (this is a replica of the same Stealth guitar Chuck played on tour).
• Fourth Place will receive a set of Guitar Pick-Ups by DiMarzio Pick-Ups/USA, the same type used by Chuck when touring.
Starting August 5, 2009, you will be able to complete and submit a short essay on the Membership page on-line at chuck-schuldiner.org. The membership fee is $25.00 USD (plus shipping and handling) and includes an exclusively designed Father of Metal Club commemorative t-shirt.
The essays, to be titled, "What Chuck's Music Meant to Me", will be judged on merit and creativity. Your Membership will be ongoing however, you will want to become a Member as soon as possible, as the Memorabilia Giveaway "clock" starts ticking on August 5, 2009 and recipients of the Memorabilia Giveaway items will be announced by December 5, 2009 both on this website and on www.EmptyWords.org, the only official Chuck Schuldiner/Death website, created and operated by Kees & Yvonne, both of whom are considered to be members of the Schuldiner family.
Selected essay entries will also be published in a book dedicated to all the fans who meant so much to Chuck, to be published and made available after the Memorabilia Giveaway. This book will also contain a selection of the letters of support and inspiration which fans sent to Chuck during his illness and to his family after his tragic passing.
Chuck was always about the fans and had no stomach for the commercialization of his music, instead always keeping true to his vision. He was known for battling record labels and the like throughout his entire career. One of his favorite sayings, "Support music, not rumors" comes to mind.
The membership fees, in part, will be used to finally produce Chuck’s never before released last music, which he was able to record in the studio. In addition, Members are also encouraged to vote in a fan based selection of a collection of Chuck’s greatest hits, sponsored by www.EmptyWords.org, to be included on the “When Man and Machine Collide” (Titled by Chuck) CD.
This is an important project not only to the fans who have been waiting years for all of the "red tape" to disintegrate, but also for Chuck's long time close friend & drummer, Richard Christy and other band members, Chuck's family and the entire international metal music community.
Enterdanz Entertainment Company, an International Company, has been exclusively engaged to promote and market this project that will ensure the continuation of
the Legacy of Chuck Schuldiner/Death/Control Denied.
