Ana Popovic: Jams on the First Black Strat Ever Made

In this episode of the Vault Sessions, Ana Popovic talks about learning the guitar by watching Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, and B.B. King VHS tapes, her parents support, her first guitar (a Fender Lead 1), and shreds it up on Jimmy Bryant’s 1954 Stratocaster (the first black Strat), Eddie Cletro’s 1957 Desert Sand Fender Stratocaster, a beautiful 1958 Gibson Flying V, and her own sunburst Strat.

These sessions help keep the music alive by helping the Songbirds Foundation raise money to buy guitars for kids…check out our website to find out more— songbirdsfoundation.org.

The guitars featured in this video are on display at the Songbirds Guitar Museum in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Come visit them soon.
