I’m thrilled to share a new collaboration with the great classical guitarist Nadia Kossinskaja. Nadia, originally from Kyiv (Ukraine), now resides in Germany is an amazing guitarist and it was an honor to record with her.
This is our redemption of "Tico Tico", a popular Brazilian choro, everyone has heard already.
For this performance, I play my Gypsy Swing D-hole guitar, while Nadia plays her nylon-string classical guitar. It's a special meeting of two acoustic worlds - the classical guitar world and the jazz guitar world. Both styles have their own beauty and we hope to show how well they can blend.
This session was recorded at the GypsyGuitarAcademy studio and I'm very happy to share the first song of our collaboration with you. I hope you enjoy our version of "Tico Tico" and the mix of our two musical styles!
